A Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

Last week went to One Utama to have a celebration with friends.

We had our dinner on Tonkatsu by Ma Maison :D

It is a place for fried pork heaven (non-halal, obviously lol)

This was my second time into this restaurant, previosly was introduced by ex colleague, something like a 3 years ago XD

I have never thought that would be a place in Malaysia to properly have fried pork meal (of course, not that I have travelled to every spot in Malaysia)

Last year went to Taipei, I did purposely seek out a place to have nice tonkatsu (in Taipei station), and it did not disappoint me.

The memu has different types of pork cutting (loin, fillet), sauces (plain, miso, etc.), and sizes!.

It also serves other meat like chicken, fish, shrimp, etc., however the shop name is tonkatsu though XD

Price is around RM30 above (March 2019).

The meal is always comes with rice, soup, cabbage, a small daikon ball, a dessert. Drinks come separately.

The nice thing is, everything other than the main meat (i used main meat, haha), are refillable!

The rice is refillable, regradless white rice or multigrain rice, soup is refillable and it is full of ingredients! The cabbage is reffilable, together with the wafu sauce they have, the giagantic portion of cabbage is very good (for me, at least XD).

This place is hidden inside the Isetan in One Utama, a really nice place for a hearty dinner.

Solo Sushi King Lunch

Went to the mapex thingy in KLCC today.

Tried to look a any nice house for consideration, but meh, my income still low it seems.

So this blog will be about the food i ate during this KLCC trip! 😂

Let's start with the green tea.

It has the hot water tube running across all the seats, so they will just give you this empty cup and a packet of tea bag.

Top bar showing prices of sushi by colour of plate, underneath it two bottles of mitsume and shoyu, and the hot water tap.
A pair of chopstick on a small plate with shoyu and wasabi, an empty cup, and a packet of green tea tea bag, on the wooden table.

I always order salad in a sushi restaurant, so the first thing I do when I open the menu is search for salad.

Maybe not all the time salad, but I do like the salad in sakae sushi and mentai sushi :D

A plate of salad with fried mushroom on top, lemon slice on the side, wafu dressing next tot the plate.

This is the salad with fried mushroom topping. Together with wafu dressing, actually not bad, especially with a slice of lemon?

Not too sure if I should squeeze it into the salad or just bite it as part of the salad 😆

The only thing that I'm comparing to is the portion of it, well, quite not enough for me.

And so, I have order some plates together with the salad and some from the conveyor belt thingy.

In the end, all of these are around RM30, foods are great :D

Just the portion of the salad is still annoying me, maybe I just like the japanese restaurant salad so much 😋

Antipodean Cafe Experience at Mid Valley

Yesterday went for an early birthday lunch celebration.

Purposely picked the antipodean cafe for the breakfast set 😍

For lunch. Breakfast set for lunch 😂

It is ok for Malaysian, we can have breakfast any time in the day, no worries.

Have been craving for the antipodean's breakfast for a while,

finally able to satisfy the craving at this birthday time.

In fact, 2 breakfast sets were ordered! Haha

"All day breakfast" & "Big breakfast"

Both are priced at RM26.

If you haven't been here,

they have no menu.

I mean, they do not have the usual book/leaflet menu,

The staffs will let you know their menu is up on one of the wall,

you can try to look up for the list of food you can order,

or you can scan a QR code for their menu online.

Of course, it is better to just go through the menu on your phone before you sit down,

if you know you gonna be there.

The portion is larger than the meal you could have ordered else where, at least in my opinion.

Overall the food is really good, the latte is good too 😃
